If I were to put them on order of preference it would be 1:Moore 2:Connery 3:Brosnan 4:Craig/Dalton and 6:Lazenby

Definitely after Skyfall, I'm tempted to put Craig first now. Immediately succeeded, though, by Timothy Dalton - Licence to Kill is probably my favourite Bond movie other than Skyfall and possibly Casino Royale. Then Connery and Brosnan, and Moore last (haven't seen Lazenby).

Lazenby wasn't that great, but the movie he was in wasn't so bad.

I'm not as influenced as my dad by the books (I read two, maybe 30 years ago). Craig for him is the first actor who's close to the original character (with toned down misogyny notably), and Moore was the worst of the lot, almost like a caricature.

Personally to be honest I can't much stand Roger Moore in anything, not only as Bond. I never understood exactly why, he just rubs me the wrong way. Too much plastic surgery, maybe (in Alias, he looked like a corpse)! For all that, some of the Bonds movies with Moore are among those I really like. Aesthetically not so much, and I don't think it's wholly a coincidence that the two Bonds I like less are from the decades I care less for. The Daltons I simply found way, way too American/Hollywoodian.
