The only reason they're spending so much time on Finn (Walden's son), is because he's the natural target of the next terrorist attack. Eye for an eye, son for a son.
And now he's not that nice... so maybe we won't be bothered as much about him dying?

I hadn't considered him as the target. That just seems so... petty. At least the previous plan would have struck a serious blow to the country itself, striking Finn would only affect Walden, and even then it could backfire by making him more likely to use overwhelming and indiscriminate force against the terrorists. But whatever happens, at least in this episode something happened in the Dana plotline. It's far too tedious to watch her the rest of the time, when she basically just mopes and whines over one thing or another.
Anyone catch this week's Homeland? (spoilers)
