In terms of new Star Wars movies I think they will do better with fresh blood being in charge of the script and direction, while keeping Lucas involved at a higher level. I've always felt that Lucas is really good at the overall story and world building aspects of film making, just weak at dialogue and directing actors. Having a situation which is similar to his role on the Indy films could produce something really good.

Also a new trilogy won't suffer from the insane levels of hype which the prequels did.
