They must have received a bigger effects budget this year. There were things going on there that previous seasons could not have afforded to do.

I'm not a Dalek fan, but as Dalek episodes go this one was relatively painless. Moffat even tried to inject some meaning into them with ideas such as the Daleks have never been able to kill the Doctor because they think hate is beautiful, and the notion that they grew stronger in fear of him.

Souffle (that's her name now) was excellent. Apparently it was a complete surprise that she was in this episode. The fans didn't know in advance, it's not even on her IMDB page. That makes me think they're up to something regarding who the companion will be in relation to Souffle. Remember, the Doctor never saw what she looked like.

I'm looking forward to more!
