At first glance you think he has everything, but its impossible to be drawn into the story by him as an actor. I tried - in Immortals I found him to be totally lacking in anything that would make you want to follow him as a leader. He lacks something that other heroic actors have and I suspect the same flaw will repeat again in Superman.

Unfortunately another problem with Superman is the fact that his costume can't or won't evolve, and to be honest it looks ridiculous. They've upgraded Batman and Spiderman, but unfortunately Superman is defined by wearing his underpants on the outside so he's screwed. In fact, Superman is cursed in many ways. His powers are close to divine and its obvious that nothing can really stop him except kryptonite, so the plot is also a foregone conclusion that they can't escape.
