I didn't resent the ending as much. It was clear for a long time that Hera was the key to survival. It was also clear for a long time that Caprica 6 and Baltar's spiritual projections (avatars?) were there to guide their physical counterparts.
And the opera house + Hera visions had been presented for a long long time.
I think it makes it interesting that in ancient Greek humanity worshiped the same Gods as they did on the 12 colonies.
Mostly I'm just kind of miffed the series is over.

Agreed. The ending is one of the worst conclusions to any work of fiction ever written.

You're still in the dodgy part of the series. From early Season 2 onwards it improves immensely.
