Dark Knight had something not nearly as invasive (the stupid cell-phone radar), and that was treated as awful. Here, it was just a matter of course.
That's the immediate thought that came to my mind in that scene too.
Also, when they discussed SHIELD's development of magic mass destructive weapons as a deterrent and the issue of nuclear weapons was brought up, I couldn't help but wonder if anyone had told Captain America about that part of how World War II ended. Not that I want to discuss the issue, at all, but I was genuinely curious about what Captain America would think about it, given that he's an idealistic hero who fought in World War II and he's dressed in the American flag.
Was this broached in the comics, or any other medium?
