I think you're selectively remembering roles for many of the cast members.

First, the Mad Men characters are hardly villains. They're certainly not saints or role models, but they're not exactly villains, at least not most of them. Like the vast majority of people in the world, they're selfish and short-sighted.
Second, the actors have a wide variety of roles. However, the places I remember seeing cast members is a bit different:
John Slattery - Tony Stark's father from the Iron Man movies
January Jones - a hot girl in American Wedding
Jessica Paré - from Hot Tub Time Machine
Jared Harris - minor role in Benjamin Button
Jon Hamm - the nice, stupid handsome guy in 30 Rock
(that's a statistically significant number of first names starting with J)
When you get outside the top seven or eight characters the actors are definitely not "antagonists" (Rich Sommer, Aaron Staton, etc.).

Political correctness is the pettiest form of casuistry.

It really looks like no one watches Mad Men based on the absence of discussion.

I intend to, at some point. Though as Stephen notes, the DVDs are expensive. *NM*

People buy DVDs? I thought everything was streaming or Blu-Ray now.

I'm still hoping Blu-Ray will go the way of the betacam.

You're also by default saying you can't pay for Netflix streaming

As far as I know Netflix is only available in the UK and Ireland in Europe

No you don't.

Not much to say. Everyone's an asshole, so you watch it without caring or getting involved.

Hamm was the cop in The Town

Yes, but that role still fits the common thread of casting and how it relates to Mad Men

I've never seen more than about 3 minutes of an episode. The idea is not interesting to me. *NM*
