IMO they need to move away from the farm and quit all the bitching they have been doing among themselves this season. I'm bored with the current story and how well the last few episodes of this season will determine how interested I am when season three rolls around.
A&E cut the budget resulting in more dialogue and less zombie. The main director was fired because he bitched about it and told A&E he couldn't do the show justice and repeat the appeal of Season 1 with what they wanted to budget for. You can do a Google search and read all about it. Spending more time on the farm is a result of the budget stuff. Unless A&E shifts gear and ups the budget I would expect slower first half seasons with most of the good, special effect stuff coming in the second half of the seasons.
