Including why the list leaned to really, really long movies (the Academy LOVES epics): OF the 16 movies listed 5 of them are over 3 hours long and two others just miss (The Godfather and The Sound of Music, at 175 and 174 minutes respectively)

And it is ridiculous that a Hitchcock movie never won best picture.
