That American Horror Story would show up in any category described as "best." I thought it was one of the worst shows I've ever seen. Worse than NCIS, even.
How many episodes did you watch? I ask because I often wanna call Buffy and Big Bang Theory horrid crap but then I remember I haven't seen more than ten minutes of each and it may not be fair.
Of course the plot is wacky, over the top and crazy, but that's kinda the point. And the show had some of the finest acting I've seen on TV recently.
I watched the first five episode from start to finish. I think the story was nonsensical and the character's actions were too unbelievable.
The acting was good, I thought, except for Dylan what's-his-face. I think he's a one-dimensional actor. Everything I've seen him in, I seem to see the same character.
