Apparently some wacko fundamentalist group is urging a boycott of Game of Thrones (as if it needed more press to boost its ratings). The reasons they recommend people not watch Game of Thrones would make me want to watch it if I weren't committed to doing so anyway. They mention lots of lesbian sex and heterosexual sodomy, violence and dark, moody cinematography.
What is really funny, though, is that apparently "socialism" is the dirty word that you have to throw at anyone and anything that you don't like these days. Somehow Martin is glamorizing a "socialist revolutionary army" at the expense of the "traditional family unit".
They also claimed, bizarrely, that the show is "difficult for adults to understand". Well, maybe if you married your cousin and your parents married their cousins and you live in a trailer park/Pentacostal cult encampment and your name is written on your belt buckle.
Are we watching the same show?
Regardless, the post is linked below. It's great for shits and giggles.

It's exactly the sort of thing that an Evangelical group could do, though. *NM*

I think the starred out nipples and gay getaway advertisement would be enough to get that

It's kind of a strange accusation since the Seven Kingdoms is run by "traditional family units"

Pretty obvious satire. A legit xtian site likely wouldn't post those pumping or starred-nip pics.

Eh. I'll read the books, but the show has been vastly disappointing. So I guess I won't join you *NM*
