They probably assume the names Spielberg and Jackson will sell it easily.
The movie theater on Thursday was relatively empty, but most people go on weekends anyway. But I do wonder if it will attract both the "older" people remembering the comic books and the younger animation film fans.

2011 might certainly be called a big year for Belgian comic books, what with getting two major movies out there introducing them to the American audience - first The Smurfs, now this.

I'm a bit wary about the mixture of three albums that they made in the plot (and then some things that weren't in the comics at all, no doubt), but I do think I'll go see it, and hopefully I'll like it all the same.

If it's based on three albums then they really did a great job making it into one well-flowing story that makes sense.
