A lot of times, I find the trailer to be more enjoyable than the actual film. The Dark Knight for example. I enjoyed the trailer more than the movie. Sometimes the trailer matches the movie, see Retrun of the King. And then there are movies with a terrible trailer, even though the movie is awesome.

So, your favorite trailer regardless of the movie????


I don't like much how trailers are handled in the last two decades or so. Most of them are just applied recipes nowadays, vert unimaginative. I prefer the old fashioned ones.

"Best trailer" I don't really remember (nothing stands out as especially awesome cinematographically in my memory), but the four trailers that had made the biggest impression on me ever (those I still remember seing decades later, and that had made me totally hyped to see the movie) would be :

1. The Empire Strikes Back
2. Star Wars (A New Hope)
3. Raiders of the Lost Ark
4. Blade Runner
