I was pretty sure it was going to be Lix or Clarence who was the Soviet spy - Lix seemed the obvious choice and Clarence if they tried to make it more of a twist, as they did.
I did not think there was a Soviet spy at all, so I had no theories on who it might be. But it does fit.
I am torn on a second series - I'd like to see more but I think it was the right ending to leave it on, wanting more. As it is, it feels more like cutting in and out on a passage of time - it started before the show did and continued on after it ended, with us just seeing a key section out the middle.
Yes, the BBC is very good at ending series at the right time and leaving people wanting more... but, you know, to go with your description, it would be doable to go and cut in and out on a different passage of time in the future.
I guess they could just make a different show next time, though. The characters are good, but not that iconic that they can't be replaced.
The Hour (BBC / BBC America) - anyone else watching it?
