Gemma Whelan has been cast as Asha Greyjoy, but since her name sounds too much like someone else in the book, Osha, they have changed her name to Yara Greyjoy.
If you ask me, that name sucks monkeyballs. It sounds like Arya, and who the hell is Osha? Casting looks good though.

I suppose it makes sense (though "Yara" is a stupid name...maybe they want her to sound like a pirate?) since Asha and Osha are both peripheral enough at this point in the storyline for that to potentially be confusing. Arya is well-entrenched and by now she isn't really being called that much anyway
I didn't get confused by names in the first season (there were a bunch I just didn't know until I read the book) but I was confused early on because the actors playing Baelish and Renly (I think) looked enough alike to give me pause.
But wine was the great assassin of both tradition and propriety...

It might sound too alike, but why change the name of a major character?
