“I’d have allowed the secondary characters to speak more and not be so focused on the heroes. There was more balance in the way that all the races of Middle-earth were presented in the first one. It was more about the relationships… That’s just my personal taste.”

I am not sure how he would have filmed the battle for Minas Tirith with less effects. But then again it's his personal taste and I am glad I disagree with the man here ;)


I thought those could have been a lot better done; they ended up kind of hokey I thought. That said, Return of the King is still one of my very favorite films ever.
