Because I think he is a lot cooler and more likable than in the books, where I took him for a little whiner. Of course, the fact that I perceive him differently could already be considered a complaint.
He's young and unrefined on the TV show but likeable and a good learner. In the book when he takes whats-her-name for a wife even though he knew he was betrothed to Lord Walder's daughter, well we both know what a stupid mistake that was. He absolutely should have known better. The book Rob, to me, was much more controlled by his mother than TV Rob who seems to have a mind of his own.
But wine was the great assassin of both tradition and propriety...
