That is Parallax, which in the comics is the parasitic embodiment of fear, represented by yellow. TaskmasterJack Send a noteboard - 17/06/2011 02:14:20 AM
The color yellow weakness has been pretty much eliminated in modern Green Lantern storylines. They have this whole emotional spectrum now with the various colors of the rainbow represented by colors. Red is Rage. Yellow is Fear. Green is Will. Blue is Hope. Orange is Greed... and so on...

Theoretically, each color has a living embodiment of that emotion. The living embodiment of Fear is named Parallax. The living embodiment of Will is named Ion. Supposedly, Parallax and Ion were both once trapped within the Green Lantern Corps main power supply, a giant Lantern battery. Because Parallax was in there with Ion, all Green Lanterns had to use Will to overcome Fear, but had a basic weakness to Fear's representative color, yellow. Parallax is no longer within the battery in comics continuity. So the weakness is no longer present.
