He said so himself in a press conference at the Cannes film festival.



It was all over the French media this morning and most presented it as a case of out-of-control and seriously embarassing humour. Hardly the first time Von Trier says something completely stupid in a press conference or to journalists. It's almost a trademark with him, as if making stupid or provocative statements was his way of fighting his own malaise at being there.
