"The only water in the forest is the river"
First thing I thought of was River Song in Forest of the Dead, but that's in the past anyway so it's likely completely irrelevant.
Besides, I'm more concerned with the inevitable banana-centric climax that's coming up. The Doctor tried to use a banana to illustrate conceptual space to Rory in the Space charity special, which reminded me that the Doctor replaced a weapon factory with a banana plantation in The Doctor Dances (also written by Steven Moffat) and brought a banana to Louis XV's party in The Girl in the Fireplace (still a Steven Moffat episode).
Clearly, there is something in store for the bananas.
I'm kidding of course.
The first rule of being a ninja is "do no harm". Unless you intend to do harm, then do lots of harm.
