After I posted this I went back and started rereading chapters with Loras and Renley.

It never says anything but they were pretty gay. Well then, looks like the show is doing a better job than I thought. And it explains why Loras went batshit when Renley died. Ahhhh so many answered questions.

PS. You haven't seen the show? If you're looking for it online (I download all the eps after I watch them on HBO in case I want to rewatch them) noteboard me and I'll link you to a great site that has all the eps in great quality up.
