Netflix get it when the DVDs come out. - Edit 1

If you google "HBO and Netflix," you get all sorts of stuff about how HBO wants Netflix to charge $20 for its content and whatever. It definitely seems like there's no current deal in place. I can't really find whether there was a deal at some point in the past, though. Maybe they offered a few shows as a trial run or something. . .
The current situation is that Netflix won't charge what HBO considers an acceptable rate for its monthly online subscriptions. HBO wants $20 a month, Netflix wants to keep it down much lower than that. Because of that, HBO will not allow Netflix to stream its content on-demand on the subscription service.
However, that part of Netflix's business is separate from the DVD rental and - as far as I know - streaming the DVDs online for a per-viewing fee. HBO programmes are on that service, but you have to wait until the DVDs come out.
