I hoped to see the whole tournament as well, including the two brothers fighting.
For all the rest I'm very much excited, a lot of the backstory (the dragons, the old kings, the bastard-naming, the brother story and the like) was very well introduced and didn't feel forced at all.
Arya is my fav by far. Oke, Tyrion is second, but I didn't really like Arya in the books, but here her acting is just soo wonderfull that I just have to love her.
Oh and it's been a while since I read the books (part one would be... ehmmm.... five? years ago) and I have had a lot of "oh-yeah-that-was-it" experiences all the way and that's a good thing
