And I thought there was nearly universal agreement on Stranger in a Strange Land =)

Of course, Lost tends to be so dense, and blessed with so many good actors, that it is pretty hard to have a "worthless" or "irredeemable" ep. The jaw-dropping Hawaiian vistas help too.

Of course, for many who have problems with Lost, the issues are often with larger storylines, overall. Others put it down to flaws that appear on an ep-by-ep basis. Lost can truly satisfy even when it barely advances its own plot, and that's impressive. Many episodes boil down to "X just unlocked a door, here's a flashback as X turns the doorknob. Shocked look at other side of door, horn blare, end episode."

I don't want to do rain over anyone's parade, tho. S1-2 are so much fun; S4 could thrive on Des and Juliet alone. Still, it's weird watching the series again, knowing what happens to/with Ben, how little he knows; what the heck is he based on, one of the writers from the x-files?
