I personally think that Jeff Bridges performance was the best, but okay with Firth or Franco

I loved The King's Speech, but I don't think it deserved Best Picture.
The main thing that bugs be about the Oscars is that, every year, movies get ignored for no other reason than the fact that they didn't come out during "Oscar Season." I hate that. If it's supposed to be the best movies of 2010, they should look at movies from 2010, not only from 2010-between-October-to-December.
Of the nominated films, I would have with.:
True Grit for Best Picture.
Inception (or 127 Hours) for Best Director. Nolan had to balance to much to make that film work, and Boyles had to bring some serious style to make the plot of 127 Hours not only watchable, but very fun, enjoyable, and inspiring.
Jeff Bridges for Best Actor. I've seen a lot of great, emotional acting before, but rarely have I seen acting so unbelievable that I thought, "Holy shit, it's not POSSIBLE for someone to do that!!!" after I saw it.
Christian Bale for Best Supporting Actor (good choice, Academy)
The King's Speech (or Inception) for Best Score. My girlfriend is a pianist who writes classical scores, so I might be biased toward a good classical score that features piano...
Inception for Best Cinematography (Good choice)
True Grit (or Social Network) for Best Adapted Screenplay.
Perhaps Inception for Best Original Screenplay. Not really decided on this one, I'd have to look at other movies that came out earlier in the year.
And I have no opinion on the other categories.

The two losers of the Oscars: actually just as good! "True Grit" (2010) and "127 Hours"

What about "Inception?" Nolan didn't even get nominated for Best Director & it was a 10-yr project! *NM*

If there was anything Inception definitely deserved to win for, it was effects and cinematography! *NM*
