I did tire of it towards the end though and i was very dispaointed in the way they wrapped it up. It get to be a bit to gloomy with nothing good every happening to anyone after about season 4. I disliked the ending so much it came close to me calling it a failure as a series. Don't get me wrong it really wasn't that bad but it was short of what I thought it should have been for sucha good series.
The plot is thin and you really can't llok to hard at it (just like almost all TV scfi) but they chracters are and settings are great.

It did get pretty gloomy, but I just loved the series and I really liked how it all turned out. I may be in the minority, but I loved the last episode. (Of course I also loved the last episode of Lost!) Galactica answered most of the questions out there, while still leaving some open for discussion.
I fell in love with many of the characters throughout the show and loved the political commentary that's been missing from many of today's other popular sci fi shows.
There are good episodes that hit and bad episodes that miss in every season, but keep pressing on to the end.
