I am very, very happy with this episode.
Except I kept expecting Castle to get shot when he insisted on sitting with his back to windows in Beckett's flat.
My sister and I were watching together and looked at each other with the same thought when he sat there. And then nothing happened.
I loved Ryan and Esposito's torture scene.
Yes! They are such great characters and that scene was a lot of fun.
And I like that the Beckett/Castle dynamic finally seems to be getting somewhere. I hope the writers don't just back off it again. It will make me unhappy.
I was anticipating the kiss being all about what they were trying to do, so I was really happy they also enjoyed it. They have been moving closer together, I really hope the writers keep it going as well. I know they say it's the kiss of death for a show, but I think their dynamic would still work for the show if they were to get together.
I loved Beckett in this episode. Okay, I always love her, but we got to see both her vulnerable side and her badass side. Shattering the window with a guy who probably had a hundred pounds on her was a lot of fun to watch, as were her more quiet emotional times.
