I must say the good things I've heard were not exaggerated. I love football and after watching the pilot, I can't believe it's taken me this long to get around to watching this.

(I haven't got names down yet, but being a football fan, will be describing the characters by position and/or numbers.)

I like the Fullback (33) as a future storyline. He seems troubled, interested in the things he gets from playing rather than actually playing.

The backup QB is the obvious story. He won the game a little too handily for me, but I was still with the starting QB in the operating room. That seems like a much better story, and I hope the starter remains part of the show (even if he might be paralyzed).

The running back, Smash(?), was a little too mouthy for me, but I don't like mouthy players in real life. He does back it up with his running, and if I were a fan of the team, I'd be all over it.

The Coach is someone I'm on the fence about. If they go the family vs work angle, I'm not going to enjoy it much. But his wife and daughter seem to be adjusted to being part of a coach's family, so hopefully they'll have something new for me.

I'm quite excited about this very promising start!
