The previous two Stargate shows had a consistent tone and when something's been on the air for what 15 years? it gains a certain definition. SGU was a show that used these previously created characters/world to tap into the existing fan base but chose to not use the established definition. It called itself Stargate but it didn't meet the definition.
Syfy is canceling SGU

I'm a little disappointed. I do like the show, but hopefully they'll have a satisfying conclusion. *NM*

I watch. I've spent most of the day since the anouncement on the gateworld messageboard.

I would have "officially" watched it more if they'd played nicer with Hulu.

frak Hulu, just torrent the stuff you want to see but don't watch when it is aired *NM*

That's why I wasn't "official." If Syfy makes it inconvenient to watch, we aren't counted.

My problem was the use of the name Stargate.

Point is, that it's still a Stargate show, simply with a different flavour. *NM*
