Saw it in 3D on Friday. I thought it was fun! I do remember when the original movie came out, I was a kid then and the info-tech revolution was just starting - got my first computer not long after that - a ZX Spectrum with 48K memory and data was stored on audio tapes in those days! The arcades were blooming, space invaders, defender, galactia, those games were like meditation to me, eventually the coin-operated games largely died out due to advances in computer graphics. And of courses 80s music went over-board on the electric synth.

When I saw the original it was just average fun, but with strong memorable visuals and sounds - and so too with the new one. Nothing deep or original here, no real story or acting, but great visuals and definitely great sound-track - worth going to for the sound-track alone - does have some boring flat patches but in the main it is like playing a cool arcade game, so thumbs up!
