I was thinking about this topic the other day, actually, because my friend is going to film school. I think this writer put my random-ass thoughts into words with the #1 point. "Use it to help tell the story"

As he said, a big problem is film makers just use to to make stuff jump out at you. When they really start taking the 3D technology to make people feel a way without throwing shit at you, I will have a much better appreciation of the medium. The problem is that it's gonna take a while to go to that point.
