First, you don't really get a sense of what the movie is about by watching the previews. It is a battle of good vs. evil, but not the one you think.
Megamind's arch-nemesis Metro Man dies unexpectedly in one of their battles. Not having someone to fight, Megamind feels lost. He hits upon the idea of creating a new Hero for him to fight...which backfires in the worst way.
The humor was kind of lackadaisical as is usual with Ferrel. The only time I LoL'd was a reference to the Donkey Kong arcade game. But it was entertaining through out the whole movie.
I didn't see it in 3D, but there were only a couple of scenes where 3D would have been used and in the typical gimmicky-way.
It wasn't as good as Dreamworks other animated Bad-Guy movie, Despicable Me, but it was entertaining enough.
I would give it a 7/10.
