That was one of the best series finales that didn't happen. If they'd just let Dean live out his life like that, I would have honestly thought it was fantastic.

So what? The easiest and obvious solution is to stop watching. Pretend that the sixth season was never made. The earlier seasons are still there and are as good or bad as they ever were.
I wouldn't care if the show lasted for ten more years and became a soap to rival the Days of our Lives. The good seasons are still there intact.
The same thing is going on with Weeds; people whine that the current season is bad and the series ought to have been cancelled. I can't understand how adult people can get so whiny over something so trivial.
