She's very posh, true, but she's not a bitch about it. On her show last week, she was saying something about liking rosé wine and not caring what the wine snobs had to say about it.
I'v noticed since living here that there's a faint embarrassment about being middle class, so it's nice to see someone who is utterly at ease with it.
Yeah, I can imagine. I've never read bad things about her. She seems to be a lady I'd love to know in person.
And her Christmas turkey recipe is utterly brilliant.
I may have seen her cook it. I'm not sure. I generally use Martha Stewart's turkey recipe (which has made a perfect bird for me every time) but I'm definitely willing to switch to Nigella's.
She soaks it overnight with oranges, cloves, star anise, fennel sees, coriander seeds and a few other things, and then when you eat it it's deliciously moist and amazing. I love it.
If I don't get her book before the next holiday, I'll look for the recipe online. Your description sounds good.
Tim's Mum gave me Nigella's Christmas Feast book a few years ago. So delightful.
That book is on my private wish list as Amazon. I'll buy it for myself one day.
