Start with Buffy, and watch Seasons 1 to 3....then when you start Season 4, watch it concurrently with Angel Season 1. Watch the two series together until Buffy Season 7/Angel Season 4 ends; continue with Angel Season 5.
Glee is certainly a good show to watch as well.
