I am pretty neutral about the episode and season. everynametaken Send a noteboard - 15/09/2010 03:29:02 AM
Personally, I was underwhelmed. There was no real climax like in previous seasons. Too many things needed wrapping up, resulting in a scattered show, lacking focus.

What did you think?

I thought it started off slow and then got good. And boy, when it got good it got good, but unfortunately, it kind of slowed back down.

I personally would have preferred they just kill Russell. His character was hilarious and even in the finale I was laughing at his antics (like the deal he tried to cut with Sookie). To me, a lot of the humor in the show is subtle and I like that; I like clever and witty. For example, the dumb lady that works at the bar offering Sookie a sandwich while there is a burnt up vampire chained to the pole with silver or when Russell rolled his eyes at Alcide and Sookie. I think that stuff is good and True Blood seems to do it well.

I liked some of the other plots but I could have done without Jason's. the guy is just sooooo stupid!
I hope they wrap up Tommy's character quickly next season. Although, I have to admit I didn't like Jessica at first but they totally transitioned her into a great character, one of my favorites now. Maybe they have something in store for Tommy and then maybe he's on his way out.

It was a slower finale then the last two but it was still good. We got to finally see what Eric's little secret about Bill was that he kept hinting at. We got to see Tara maybe find some peace by starting new. We got to see Hoyt and Jessica back together. And, we got to see another wonderful scene with that lovable guy Terry!!!

I like fast too but I felt it was important to set up for next season as well. Clearly Jason will be a focal point, Sookie learning something of her heritage as well. The whole thing with Lafayette will be interesting to see as well. If Jesus going to teach him magic> It sounded like it.

It was a fun season overall although it had some slow points. Can't wait until next season. :P
