The Mexican birthday video in "Signs" is one of the creepiest scenes for me, because you only see the silhouette, the gesture and hear the children screaming.

I was going to mention this too. It goes back the unknown for me. That is always much scarier, because my imagination can waaaaaaaaaay outdo most realities.
