Haven't seen Night Watch...
It is hard to say without having seen all of the films there but I think it was done very well as the type of film it is.

... so yes, that is pretty much the problem.
And you two have a head start, language wise since my native cinema is exluded. Also, I've just realised that The Proposition wouldn't qualify since it is Australian.

I at least don't exactly have much of a head start, seeing how there are no Belgian movies on the list any more than British ones. :P But of course, yeah, non-English-language movies are more likely to be shown or known in Belgium than in the UK - not Belgian ones, which are fairly limited even if there's a revival in Flemish movies lately, but foreign language movies in general. No doubt a movie like Goodbye Lenin, for instance, is easier to have seen here than in the UK. Still, the large majority of the movies we get are American or less often other English-language ones, so the difference is not as big as you might think. No doubt it's different in France, and to a lesser extent in Germany.
