The first few episodes start out a little slow but then when Damon shows up and the tension between brothers starts mounting the show gets pretty good and fast moving. Also there were a few episodes in the first half of the season that were very WB-ish, kind of mushy with Dawson Creek-like background music. But, they cut that stuff out pretty quick and concentrated on the plot rather than appealing to high school girls in the second half.

And, while there were different characters besides the brothers that play significant roles I found none of them to be predictable. The plot wasn't predictable and they dropped a bomb in the plot during the halfway point where they broke for the Olympics and the season ender was fantastic.

I originally had no plans to watch the series (mainly because I am a little too old for WB world!) but I have to say it is an enjoyable series and I will definitely be watching Season 2 when it comes out.
