This incredible little flick has a single premise: you can steal knowledge from people's dreams, but planting an idea in someone's head while they sleep is impossible.
Removing knowledge is called extraction. It's what Leonardo DiCaprio and his sidekick do well. But planting an idea in someone's mind, aka inception, is all but a myth in the world of corporate espionage that is the setting of this film. Naturally, the plot of the movie revolves around a very wealthy client hiring DiCaprio to perform inception on a rival with a big payoff if he succeeds.
I won't say anything more about the plot of the film, other than its premise generates some very complicated rules and scenarios that result in incredible visuals and awesome action sequences. I loved this film. It delivered in every way. The acting is on point (I'm not a DiCaprio fan, but I can't help but admire his work here) the script is complicated enough to keep you surprised, yet simple enough to keep you involved. The effects are seamless, the action well-planned and well-executed, it all just works. Christopher Nolan did a hell of a job with this one.
Go see this movie. It's the best movie I've seen this year.
