That's just chick-fic vampire law. Male vampires are made by female vampires who lead them astray Cannoli Send a noteboard - 08/07/2010 02:08:37 PM
I didn't know that. It just seemed like a huge plot device, like they ran out of stuff to do in Bon Temps so they just randomly tossed werewolves in (which they never mentioned before) because they were running out of ideas.
To be fair, I recall Bill or Sam mentioning werewolves with derision in the first season.

Does this season follow one of the books?

And what was the deal with Bill having sex with his maker?! AIn the other books as well?!

Check out Buffy, Moonlight and Anita Blake for merely the few with which I am familiar. The main good guy vampire was made by a female vampire, and they had a love affair but then he falls for Our Heroine which aggravates the older woman and forces a plot device whereby he chooses Our Heroine over the power and charms and experience of his maker-ess. I don't know what I was thinking of, mocking True Blood. Plainly I am a twit and this is as original as every other award-winning HBO show.
