Because that one paragraph summed up perfectly...
...what's wrong...
...and what's awesome about America.
I felt perfectly fine getting up to re-butter our popcorn at one point.
...what's wrong...
What really struck me was that, unlike with "Star Wars" or "Harry Potter", which had moviegoers of all ages standing up to clap at the conclusion
...and what's awesome about America.
I think I've only experienced that twice. The first was the Captain's Kirk and Sulu firing on the Klingon Bird of Prey in Star Trek VI. I don't recall the second, but I'm confident there was one (maybe two) more.
The most memorable was during the Fellowship of the Ring. At the end when Aragorn chops the head off the giant Uruk-hai that killed Boromir people clapped and cheered. Including my mother, which was pretty entertaining.
There was also a great deal of cheering and clapping during Eclipse on Friday night ... apparently the theatre was full of Team Jacob fans.
Insert theme music here.

It's actually been kinda fun this way. Normally, it's annoying. *NM*

The clapping fit I remember most is when Eowyn says "I am no man"

A co-worker of mine had a similar comment. That he was just plain bored. *NM*
