My problem with Davros is that he was the big bad not long ago - Edit 1

and I think Moffat is aware of that sort of thing. I have always thought of him as a counterweight to the Davies school of thought (which only embraces the mainstream baddies). While I did first think that the voice sounded like Davros, I really hope it is not.
I also have issues with the Valeyard theory. The Dream Lord was the product of psychic pollen, and should have no effect on the real world. His only function would be as a foreshadowing. But that foreshadowing would also mean that if the Valeyard or something similar is the big bad, the Main Problem is basically a repeat of what has gone earlier in the season (or in the former season if this becomes the topic of a whole 6th rather than just something for the Christmas Special). I suppose we are nearing the time when the Valeyard would show up, but I don't know. Wasn't that dealt with?
