He could possibly use the cracks.
*short reverie of the Doctor as part of the cast of Time Bandits* /reverie
Oooh. That would be AWESOME. And I use that term on purpose, fully intending all connotations of reverence and awe.
The problem there, as I see it, is, we've only seen one crack large enough for a corporeal being to get through, and that didn't seem to end to well for the weeping angels concerned. Prisoner Zero was not limited by a phyical body when he came through the crack. The doctor's arm has been through a crack, but it very quickly started pouring out the light that ater Rory, so I suppose I am saying that we have no evidence that it would be safe for the doctor to travel through them at this point. Also the navigation issue of going from one point to another without the Creator's map would seem almost insurmountable...
Well, we know he is able to make them bigger with his screwdriver (as he did with the one in Amy's bedroom). It may be that the light only comes from the ones that are directly tied to the moment of explosion. If so, it shouldn't be impossible to use the others to navigate from one place to another. We know the water-creatures in Venice managed it.
The problem of navigation is the only valid one, as I can see. But I am sure he could whip up some technobabble for the occasion if pressed. Perhaps he simply reversed the polarity of the neutron flow?
Yeah, it's the Doctor. If the writers want him to use the cracks, he will figure out how to use the cracks.
I like the idea of Amy stealing the TARDIS and crossing her own timeline to save Rory, and causing such a mess that the TARDIS explodes. That would also explain how the Doctor survives - he would not have been at the point of the explosion. Perhaps our current Doctor could stop her by figuring it out and using the cracks to arrive through the one where Rory dies? There would then be two TARDISes and two Doctors and two Amys there. Shenannigans!
Hmmm. That sounds ... convoluted.
