The suspect this time? Robin Hood. I'd lasted so long as well, it's been out for ages, i resisted it knowing that it would be awful. I was bored, i was foolish so me and a mate went to watch it. This probably isn't much of a review given the lateness, but i would like to reinforce the sheer rubbishness of it.
The accents were terrible, Crowe must have spent all of one week practicing it, he was constantly flitting between gladiator voice and yorkshire accent. I'd rather he hadn't attempted it at all and just spoke as he did in gladiator.
I thought this was supposed to be a serious Robin Hood? I'd heard him on an interview mocking Costner's tights and how silly that film was. At least that film sort of knew it was being silly, i'm not sure this one did. All those horrible one liners, the terrible dialogue and supposedly humorous little exchanges. It dragged.
It was poorly paced, it dragged and dragged and dragged and then rushed towards the end in the last 20 minutes. I put up with so much in this film. I didn't mind the change of direction in the story from the classic legend, a good story is a good story after all. I overlooked them using some sort of weird explosive fiery thing on a castle gate to burn it down.
1 star. I couldn't wait for this film to end, the disney version is still the best!

I had free tickets and saw it with a pretty girl, so maybe that's why I'd rate it higher... *NM*
