Good way to start off the season. Some plot points that bugged me though:
- Eric orders Bill captured, but instead a bunch of V-junkies get to him first and get themselves killed in the process? Eric's denial was so convincing when he talked to Sookie.
Thy aren't V- junkies. They're Weres sent to nap him. Eric's reasons for napping him, I'm not sure of. But The Weres' reason is the basis of the third novel, which I won't give away if you've not read it.
- WHY is the Queen of LA selling her own blood? Does she really get a psychic link with everyone who drinks it? Or does that only work when it's drank directly out of the body?
It's never been said but I doubt its her own blood. She's likely commanded others under her control to donate.
- Tara, get over it already. Can we please have Tara's mom get eaten by something already?
I know that for us it's been 9 months, but for Tara, Eggs died last night. Cut her a little slack.
I do think Lette mae's an interesting study on human failure and how good intentions do so much harm. I mean, Lette Mae really did try to help her daughter by calling in the Reverend. I mean speaking as someone who grew up in a black church, thats what you do when someone falls on bad times. You call the rev. and sit with them and pray and let God help. She's misguided but this once she really did try to do what she thought would help. In this one instance, I don't think she was so bad.
- yeah, the Bill/Sam scene was pretty hot.
HBO's a huge cock tease and I hate it. They really upped the ante on nudity and homoerotism with this one. I approve.
- The werewolves look cool, can't wait to see where that whole thing goes.
