Or did you mean that a Ledger-like portrayal isn't appropriate for the children's book/movie series that is HP? If so, I agree, but Bellatrix doesn't have to be Ronald McDonald. The problem in my opinion is that Helena Bonham Carter is a wretched actress who fills every role she plays with insufferable melodrama.

And personally, I think cackling is way overdone. Straightforward psychosis is much more believable and terrifying.
