I don't care for the In your face-effects... ironclad Send a noteboard - 04/06/2010 08:58:30 AM
So far pretty much everyone that has posted is unimpressed or not interested. I don't know if it is age or what but at 34 I really don't care to go to a movie just so I can see some "depth" in the movie or even see something shooting out at me. It just doesn't interest me. I would rather watch an enjoyable movie with a good plot than a special effects bonanza in 3-D or not in 3-D. Now, get off my lawn!!!

...but for me going to the movies is a bit like travelling to a wondrous place for two hours. Anything that adds some additional amusement to that is fine with me and I am okay with the extra money for it. Mind you, that's the real 3D effect Avatar presented I am talking about, not the fake one. I went to see it twice and probably would have gone a third time too.
As you say, not everyone's interested in that, but I think a lot of people are. Of course the industry will fuck up this momentum very quickly if they deliver too many films that aren't really 3D or are just simply bad flicks. But assuming that when a movie comes out in 3D, it can't possibly have much of a plot to offer may be a mistake.

You mustn't be afraid to dream a little bigger, darling.
