Isn't he the idiot to blame for Prisoner of Azkaban? Good riddance. *NM*

Guillermo Del Toro has announced that he is no longer going to direct the Hobbit or indeed the second LOTR related film due to delays in it's production caused by the difficulties surround MGM. He shall continue to act as one of the screenwriters however. The announcement at theonering.net is below.
I think this is a rather sad development, as I felt Del Toro's style was ideally suited to the Hobbit movie. I now wonder who will take over and how long will it be until filming can actually begin

I bet the Hobbit will be made into a movie long before GRRM's aDwD comes out. -_- *NM*

So he's made one good movie and one atrocious one.

I haven't seen Hellboy.

I'm sure he meant Pan's Labyrinth was the good one. Hellboy sucked big floppy donkey dicks. *NM*

PoA was better than the movies after it, surely.

Disagree. PoA was better than tCoS, but that's because Chamber was a travesty of a novel.

How can you claim it's better than the later movies?

The Batman comic hasn't been for children since at least the 80s. The Dark Knight definitely wasn't.

I happen to think Prisoner of Azkaban is the only good HP movie made, yet. *NM*

I liked the scenery, which was bland in the first two films. HBP was my fave Potter film, though *NM*
